The Rising Star Choir

asw2-10-22-16

The Rising Star Choir-Nashville is an inclusive music making experience for children with special needs ages 7 to 18 housed at Belmont University.

You are invited to the choir performance on Sunday, April 22, at 2:30 PM at Blakemore United Methodist Church, Nashville.

The goal of this choir is to provide a successful music making experience that is meaningful and enriching for all who are involved.  The choir accepts verble and nonverbal children.  Music is chosen as a therapeutic focus on socialization, communication, sensory integration, and motor movement skills.   This music enrichment program is FREE to families with children and youth who are diagnosed with Autism, Downs Syndrome, or other special needs effecting cognitive, physical, and social delays.

The Rising Star Music Fund is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to supporting music education, encouraging the study and making of music, and providing opportunities for children with special needs or in under-served communities to access well-balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality programs of music instruction.

Carrie Friddell, MT-BC, owner of In Harmony Music of Middle Tennessee, proudly directs this choir.   For more information call: 615-390-3207 or email at risingstarchoirnashville@gmail.com
